Anime Apocalypse at a glance
This guide covers Roblox’s hack-and-slash dungeon survival game from Anime Apocalypse Dev (creator account ltsRealJr, group ID 534034976). Coverage here is tracked by Owen Marsh, GameLand Insider’s News & First-Look Editor, who follows the Shinobi update patch notes and weekly drops straight from the official developer channels. The game shipped on 31 October 2025. It has logged 67.6 million visits and 100,794 favourites, sits at a 95.7% upvote ratio with 12,000+ concurrent players, and is still tagged BETA. Roblox calls it Action RPG, but it plays more like Vampire Survivors meets Naruto: spin for anime-flavoured abilities, run 30-player zombie dungeons, grind raids for tickets and trait rerolls, then repeat.
The Shinobi + GAMEMODE update (the current build) added the Wave Defense mode and two new mythic abilities: Ghost of Shinobi and Madara. Madara sits on a brand-new rarity tier with a roll chance under 0.05%. That one drop reshuffled the ability meta, and it is what most YouTube progression guides this past week are reacting to.
This page answers the three things Anime Apocalypse players ask most: what codes work right now, which abilities and gadgets are worth grinding toward, and how to clear Wave Defense and Raids fast. Every code is checked against three sources: the developer’s Discord, the official Roblox group page, and trusted community trackers. Tier rankings cross-reference Destructoid’s mode-split list with the YouTube progression crowd (imCosmi, Slash X, MK, JixxyJax, Rexon).

All working Anime Apocalypse codes (verified 25 May 2026)
Four codes work across every source we check. One more, 5KFOLLOWERS!, so far shows up as new on a single tracker, so it is listed as likely-active until another source confirms it. Codes are case-sensitive, and the trailing ! on milestone codes matters.
MATCHBUGFIXED: between 15k and 20k Coins (sources disagree on the exact figure), 10 to 15 Raid Tickets, 6 to 8 Trait Rerolls, a mix of Normal and Lucky Ability plus Gadget Spins, and a 2x Drops and 2x Coins boost. It dropped with the matchmaking bug hotfix.SHINOBI: 22,000 Coins, 16 Raid Tickets, 12 Trait Rerolls, 5 Normal plus 9 Lucky Ability Spins, 3 Normal plus 4 Lucky Gadget Spins, and 2x Drops and 2x Coins for 3 hours. The headline reward of the Shinobi update.GHOSTOFSHINOBI: 15,000 Coins, 12 Raid Tickets, 12 Trait Rerolls, 3/2 Normal and 8/3 Lucky Spins, and 2x Drops for 2.5 hours. Tied to the Ghost of Shinobi mythic release.WAVEDEFENSE: 18,000 Coins, 12 Raid Tickets, 11 Trait Rerolls, 4/3 Normal and 8/3 Lucky Spins, and 2x Drops and 2x Coins for 2 hours. The Wave Defense launch code.5KFOLLOWERS!: new on one tracker so far. 15k Coins, 40 Raid Tickets, 40 Trait Rerolls, 3/3 Normal and 12/12 Lucky Spins, plus 2x Drops, Coins, EXP, and Mastery for a full 26 hours. If active, this is the highest-value code in rotation, so redeem it first.
Best redeem order: open 5KFOLLOWERS! first for the longest boost, then SHINOBI, then stack the rest while the boosts run. Trait Rerolls are uncapped, so bank them and roll only after you land an ability you actually want to keep.
Recently expired Anime Apocalypse codes
These codes were active during the last two updates and have rotated out. They are listed only so you can stop trying them, since some sites lag on pulling dead codes from their tables:

How to redeem codes in Anime Apocalypse
- Launch Anime Apocalypse on Roblox.
- Once you spawn, open the in-game Codes menu. It sits in the right-side panel under the gear icon. It moved during the Shinobi UI revamp, so older guides may show a stale screenshot.
- Paste the code exactly as written above. The codes are case-sensitive and are mostly all-caps with no spaces.
- Hit Redeem. Coins, Raid Tickets, Spins, and boost timers land right away, and boost timers only count down while you are in-game.
The dev team (ltsRealJr and the Anime Apocalypse Dev group) posts new codes in three spots, in order: the Discord first, the Roblox group page 1 to 4 hours later, then YouTube partner videos at launch. We pull from all three before we publish here.
Anime Apocalypse ability tier list (post-Shinobi update)
Anime Apocalypse abilities are rolled with Normal Ability Spins (the base pool) or Lucky Ability Spins (weighted toward Epic and higher). The Shinobi update added a top-end Mythic tier and pulled the whole meta up, so Rare and Epic picks that were fine two patches ago are now carry-along, not endgame. The table below cross-references Destructoid’s mode-split list with the active YouTube progression community.
| Tier | Abilities | Why they sit here |
|---|---|---|
| S | Madara (new, ~0.05% roll), Limitless, Atomic, Spin | Highest base damage scaling + favourable mastery curve. Madara is the new ceiling; Limitless and Atomic remain consensus picks for both Raids and Wave Defense; Spin clears trash crowds faster than anything else. |
| A | Ghost of Shinobi, Aizen, Hogyoku | Strong single-target burst, good Mastery 100 scaling. Ghost of Shinobi pulls slightly behind Madara but is dramatically easier to obtain. |
| B | Conqueror’s Haki (ability variant), Beyond the Walls, Domain Expansion | Solid mid-game options. Workable through World 2 boss content but drop off in Raid clear time. |
| C | Various Epics from the original launch pool | Beginner safety net. Carry until you roll an A-tier; don’t grind Mastery 100 on these. |
| D | Nen Prodigy (Epic), Zorro (Rare) | Per Destructoid: “your beginner options, get powercrept fast. This is not one of those games where the Rares and Epics are really good.” Reroll out as soon as WAVEDEFENSE boost is up. |
The community grinds Mastery 100 on one S-tier ability before chasing the next roll. Mastery 100 cuts cooldowns roughly in half, and it is the single biggest damage boost in practice, bigger than swapping abilities at low mastery.
Anime Apocalypse gadget tier list (mode-split)
Gadgets in Anime Apocalypse are rolled separately from abilities, and Destructoid splits gadgets by gamemode because the same one rates very differently in Raids than in Survival, Infinite, or Wave Defense. The shortlist:
- Time Stop (Mythic): Raids A-tier, Survival/Infinite B-tier. Good in Raids as defence and an escape from boss attacks; situational everywhere else.
- Conqueror’s Haki (Legendary): Raids B-tier, Survival/Infinite A-tier. Not needed in Raids, but great crowd control against the constant mob waves in the endless modes.
- Beacon Taunt (Epic): Raids C-tier, Survival/Infinite B-tier. Crowds in Raids get bursted down anyway, so its crowd control only matters in long modes.
- Medkit (Rare): C-tier in every mode. Not useless, but no mode needs it once you have a real defensive gadget.
Roll Lucky Gadget Spins first. They favour Legendary and Mythic, which is where the real mode-bending utility sits. Normal Gadget Spins are mostly Medkit and Beacon Taunt churn.
Anime Apocalypse Wave Defense mode: the Shinobi update centrepiece
Wave Defense is the new Anime Apocalypse endgame loop this update. It drops you into a 30-player lobby (the game maxes at 30 per server, per the Roblox game settings) and runs harder and harder zombie waves with mini-boss breaks in between. A few economy notes:
- Coin and drop rewards scale with wave count, not with damage dealt. If your loadout is still weak, get carried early and you still pocket the rewards.
- Raid Tickets do not drop here. Use this mode for Coins and Spins, then go back to Raids when you need Tickets.
- The
WAVEDEFENSEcode is the boost window to use for your first three to five clears. 2x Drops over a 2-hour stretch front-loads the grind. - Best ability picks: Spin for trash clear, and Madara, Limitless, or Atomic for mini-bosses. Crowd-control gadgets like Conqueror’s Haki beat single-target ones here.
Beginner-to-pro Anime Apocalypse progression path
This path pulls from the imCosmi 29:34 “I Spent 50+ Hours Going NOOB To PRO” deep dive, the Slash X 8:43 beginner guide (uploaded 7 May 2026, so it predates the Shinobi update; see the caveat below), and Rexon’s “Starting Over as MADARA” run.
- Spend every starter code reward right away. With
5KFOLLOWERS!active, a fresh account can spin 12 Lucky Ability Spins, and you should land at least an A-tier. - Reroll traits before you grind Mastery. Trait Rerolls are cheap from codes, and stacks of 11 to 40 are common. Burn them until you have a damage- or cooldown-leaning trait on your S-tier ability.
- Grind Mastery 100 on one S-tier ability, not three at Mastery 30. Cooldown reduction is the biggest multiplier.
- Switch from Survival to Raids once you hit Mastery 100. Raid Tickets are the slowest currency to build up, but they unlock the best accessories and the raid shop.
- Cycle Wave Defense for Coins when boosts are live. Don’t grind it cold, since boost timers from codes more than double your grind rate.
Meta caveat: any guide uploaded before mid-May 2026 does not include Madara or Ghost of Shinobi in its rankings. Treat S-tier picks in those videos as A-tier today.
Anime Apocalypse FAQ
Is the game free?
Yes. It is a free Roblox experience by Anime Apocalypse Dev. You do not need Robux or premium to play, and spins and traits are earned through gameplay and codes.
When did it release?
The game went live on 31 October 2025 and is still tagged BETA. The current build is the Shinobi + GAMEMODE update, which added Wave Defense mode and the Ghost of Shinobi and Madara mythic abilities.
Is it on mobile?
Yes. Roblox runs it on PC, mobile, console, and Quest. The controls map cleanly to controllers (L2/LT, L1/LB, R1/RB, R2/RT for the four skills, D-Pad Up for Gadget, D-Pad Down for Ultimate).
How rare is the Madara ability?
Madara sits on a new top-end rarity tier with a roll chance below 0.05%, under the old Mythic tier. Players report needing 800 to 2,000 Lucky Ability Spins to land it. Save your Lucky Spins from codes, since Normal Spins basically cannot roll Madara.
Are the codes case-sensitive?
Yes. Use the Copy button next to each code above to avoid typos. The trailing ! on milestone codes (5KFOLLOWERS!, RELEASE!) is part of the code, so dropping it makes the redeem fail.
Where do you cross-check the codes from?
We pull active codes from the Anime Apocalypse Dev Discord, the Roblox group announcement page (roblox.com/communities/534034976), and a rotating set of trusted community code trackers. A code only goes on this page after at least three independent sources report it active in the same week.
Will I get banned for using codes?
No. Codes are an official developer feature that you redeem inside the in-game menu. Bans only happen for exploits, cheats, or third-party tools. Using a code is a normal in-game action.
Where can I find more Roblox guides like this one?
Browse our Roblox platform hub for codes, tier lists, and tools across every Roblox game we cover. Or jump to similar recent additions: the Anime Story 2 hub for Anime Story Lab’s gacha-strategy follow-up, which uses the same Trait Token plus Ascended summon loop (including Anime Story 2 Codes for the current 1.0 UPDATE drop); the Wizard Alchemy guide for the action-RPG meta; the Blox Fruits Tier List for One-Piece-style fruit rankings (with the drop schedule at Blox Fruits codes); the Blade Ball Codes for another mythic-roll game’s rotation, next to the Blade Ball tier list for weapon meta; Supreme Battlegrounds for a pure combat fix with Blue Lock-inspired movesets and ranked duels; and Escape Tsunami For BL for a faster Blue Lock-flavoured survival sprint (full tactics in the Escape Tsunami For BL guide), plus the Blue Lock Rivals hub for the anime football PvP game itself, where Style Spins and Flow Spins set your playstyle in ranked matches. For Roblox survival horror in a different format, eight players versus a player-controlled Entity in a Dead by Daylight-style match, PWNed BY 14:00 by Waffle Office is the asymmetric horror entry point for the platform’s digital horror community. For a Roblox monster-catching RPG launched in June 2026, closer to a Pokémon turn-based format with trainer progression in the Roria region, Pokemon Bronze Forever codes tracks the promo-code status for that newly released game. For the anime-gacha RPG sim where you click to train fighters and pull rare units from a Star system, the Anime Astral Simulator tier list ranks all 18 gamepasses and every fighter rarity; the Anime Astral Simulator hub collects live game stats for that title. And if you want to step outside Roblox entirely, the 007 First Light hub covers IO Interactive’s Bond stealth-action game, where the ability-and-gadget depth here translates directly into how 007 First Light rewards reading the environment over raw combat.
Last verified 25 May 2026 against the Anime Apocalypse Dev Discord, the official Roblox group announcement page, and trusted community code trackers. Active codes are case-sensitive and time-limited, so check back after each Discord drop.
