How this tier list works
MM2 knives are ranked by community trade value — not gameplay (knives are cosmetic, all do same damage). Tier reflects scarcity × demand × visual appeal.
S tier (Chroma + top Ancients): animated shader effects (Chroma) or limited Ancient drops (Elderwood Scythe). Trade requires multiple Godlies or other top-tier knives.
A tier: original vintages (Heat, Seer) — staple trade-up targets, hold value across years.
B tier: Christmas/seasonal vintages — value spikes during anniversaries.
C tier: lower-demand Godlies. Decent for new players starting their knife collection.

Trade-up strategy
- Stack rares/uncommons during gameplay — sell duplicates for Coins
- Buy more Cases with Coins, target Godly+ drops
- Trade 2-3 Godlies → 1 Chroma at active trading hubs
- Long-game: 3-4 Chromas → 1 Ancient
Updated meta notes (May 2026)
- Halloween 2025 Ancient (Pumpkin Maul) drifted from A to S as supply tightened
- Chroma trading demand up 12% during Spring 2026 retro events
- Elderwood Scythe demand stable; Pyre slight softening
