How this tier list works

MM2 knives are ranked by community trade value — not gameplay (knives are cosmetic, all do same damage). Tier reflects scarcity × demand × visual appeal.

S tier (Chroma + top Ancients): animated shader effects (Chroma) or limited Ancient drops (Elderwood Scythe). Trade requires multiple Godlies or other top-tier knives.

A tier: original vintages (Heat, Seer) — staple trade-up targets, hold value across years.

B tier: Christmas/seasonal vintages — value spikes during anniversaries.

C tier: lower-demand Godlies. Decent for new players starting their knife collection.

Knife rarity hierarchy

Ancient (highest, 1/5000 case odds)
  ↓
Chroma (animated rare, unboxed from Chromas Cases)
  ↓
Godly (standard rare, ~1/500 case odds)
  ↓
Legendary
  ↓
Vintage (limited-event past releases)
  ↓
Rare / Uncommon (entry-level)

Trade-up strategy

  1. Stack rares/uncommons during gameplay — sell duplicates for Coins
  2. Buy more Cases with Coins, target Godly+ drops
  3. Trade 2-3 Godlies → 1 Chroma at active trading hubs
  4. Long-game: 3-4 Chromas → 1 Ancient
